Can I permanently block senders' email addreses?

The anser to this is "yes" if your account has the Postini filtering service. If you are not sure if you are one of these users, or would like to become one, please call us and we will check your account. 

The blocked senders list is something that you can manage yourself in the Postini message center. Before you do this though please consider the following facts about SPAM.

Almost all SPAM comes from a bogus email address with a spoofed sender and they are randomly generated. For example you may get a spam email from

It's almost 100% certain that an email that looks similar to this is not valid — it has been “spoofed”. You are unlikely to receive another email from this address, so adding this to a block list will accomplish nothing.

If however you are getting spam email from the same email address repeatedly then the blocked senders list will be of some benefit. To add users to the list follow these steps.

1. Log into your Postini Message Center
2. Click the My Settings link in the upper right corner.
   
3. Click the Block Senders link in the center of the page in the Junk Settings section.
   
4. Add the senders emal address or domain names you want to block in the appropriate section and save the results.
